Dyslexia

The BrainThe left side of the brain is where science, math and logic are. The right side of the brain holds art, creativity, and music. People with dyslexia favor the right side which means words take longer to journey to the left side where reading occurs.

Neuro- diversityEvery brain works differently, when processing new information, dyslexia is one form of neuro- diversity that is reoccurring in many brains. Educators can focus on Gardner's 9 intelligences to help students.

Research Based approaches.Programs such as the wilson reading program have used research approaches to teaching students how to read. These programs have many steps which help teachers structure how to help students.
