Using Assistive Technology to help students with behavioral issues in the classroom.
In today's world, more and more students are being diagnosed with having some type of mental/behavioral issues, and this plays a huge role in how that student interacts with their educational world whether it is talking to a teacher or learning how to use a calculator. My focus is on how we can use assistive technology to enhance a student's learning environment - students with behavioral issues to be exact.
This video on the right includes a counselor talking about the specific apps that she uses as part of her job when it comes to dealing with students that have mental health issues.

This video here talks about how teachers can use certain assistive technology to help manage their classroom's behavior.

This video is more relatable to the general population and behavior rather than students and behavior, but I find the video to be very interesting and educational when it comes to the connection and impact between managing behavior and using technology.

How to use assistive technology in the classroom for behavior management
The easiest and most efficient way of incorporating technology into managing student's behaviors is through the use of tablets or smart phones. The reason for this is because these devices have apps on them. When it comes to the world of apps, there are always new ones being created in all aspects of life. With the recent shift of focus on student's mental health, there are a lot of apps out there that are targeted towards enhancing a student's learning environments regarding their intellectual ability, behavioral health, and mental health. By being able to incorporate these assistive technologies with a student's behavioral issues, the students are able to work their way through school while using these specific AT at their dispense.
